Virginia Thornton
Virginia Ann Thornton, 67, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, in the Hospice Care Center.
She was formerly employed by Wheland Foundry.
Survivors include her husband of 36 years, James Edward Thornton; stepdaughters, Sheila (Carl) Warfield of Kentwood, MI and Brigitte (Steve) Julian of Simpsonville, SC; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, George, John, James, and Melvin Stevens; sisters, Shirley (George) Daniels and Mattie Sue Stevens, all of Chicago, IL; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Virginia will lie in state on Wednesday, June 9, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Graveside services will follow at 11:30 a.m. in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East with Pastor Mitchell Foster as the eulogist.
