Burma C. Quinn
Burma C. Quinn, 100, of Harrison, Tennessee, died on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at her home.
She was born on Dec. 5, 1924, in Section, Al. Burma was the daughter of the late William Isaac and Alta Maness Lackey.
She was a Christian since 1947, and a member of the North Terrace Church of Christ. Burma was a 1942 graduate of Jackson County (AL) High School.
She met her husband Edward while they were working on the Manhattan Project in Oak Ridge, Tn. Burma also worked for Standard Oil on Dayton, Ohio at the headquarters of the Alaskan Pipeline Project.
She enjoyed visiting flower gardens and crafting.
Burma was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Edward Quinn, and seven beloved siblings.
She is survived by her children, daughter, Sondra (Paul) Pettyjohn, her two sons, Tim Quinn, and Jonathan (Barbara) Quinn; five grandchildren, Melissa Daniels, Nathan Quinn, Emily Quinn, Jake Pettyjohn, and Kayla Pettyjohn Vilander, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, with Minister Perry Hurst officiating. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens following the service. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until service time at North Chapel.
