Since its opening, Acropolis Grill has been more than just a restaurant—it’s been a home away from home for generations of Chattanooga diners. This year, the family-owned Greek restaurant celebrates three decades of "serving up warm hospitality, timeless Mediterranean flavors, and countless memories" in the Hamilton Place area.
The Kyriakidis family’s journey in Chattanooga’s restaurant scene began in 1982 with their first venture, Little Athens, in East Ridge. What started as a small Greek restaurant quickly became a local favorite, leading to the opening of Acropolis Grill in 1995. Since then, Acropolis has remained a beloved gathering place, where longtime regulars introduce their children and grandchildren to the same dishes they grew up enjoying.
“For many of our guests, Acropolis isn’t just a place to eat—it’s a tradition,” said Nick Kyriakidis, general manager and son of the restaurant’s founder, Teddy. “We’ve seen families celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and milestones, and we’re honored to continue welcoming new generations around our tables. From our family to yours, thank you for the many years of support that have made Acropolis Grill the success it is today.”
As Acropolis marks this milestone, the Kyriakidis family looks forward to carrying on its legacy, blending time-honored recipes with a welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. The restaurant remains committed to serving the Chattanooga community with the same passion and hospitality that have defined it for the past 30 years, said officials.
