People living along 78 roads in 17 residential subdivisions will see their roads resurfaced by this time next year after the Catoosa County Board of Commissioners approved the addition of their neighborhoods to its 2024-09 Resurfacing Project.
The BOC approved a change order to its $4,454,239 contract with Talley Construction, Inc. to include an additional $3,933,434, bringing the total resurfacing contract to $8,387,673. The change order requires the additional roads to be resurfaced by April 15, 2026.
The change order includes these subdivisions: Lynwood/Cordell, Baggett Estates, Battlefield Parkway Estates, Old Mill Trace, Cinderella Hills/Brent Estates, Rolling Hills, Council Embers, Hidden Trace, Lehon Estates, Mill Creek, Hickory Hills, Carlton Place, Holcomb (Spring Circle & Lawrence Drive), Poplar Springs, and Stonecrest.
The current Resurfacing Project (approved in 2024) has already completed the resurfacing of the Abney, Hill Crest, and Indian Springs subdivisions this spring, along with Holcomb Road and Tom Hunt Road. Resurfacing work is underway this summer in the Hurricane Heights subdivision and on Three Notch Road, Yates Springs Road, Clark Road and Ware Road.
The expanded Road Resurfacing Project is funded with proceeds from the Special Purpose Local Options Sales Tax (SPLOST), Georgia DOT Local Maintenance & Improvement Grant (LMIG), and Georgia DOT Local Roads Assistance (LRA).
