L.C. Harkness
L.C. Harkness, 65, a resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away July 2, 2021, peacefully at his home.
He was born November 12, 1955, to the late Alice Amanda Smith and L C Harkness, Sr. He accepted Jesus Christ at a young age. He was a highly recognized basketball player with the Howard Hustling Tigers and a 1973 graduate of Howard High School.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Calvin Lebron Harkness.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Lucious C. Foster, of Birmingham, Alabama; daughter, Kylie Harkness, of Chattanooga; brother, Tommy (Verna) Harkness, of Chattanooga; niece, Denise N. Harkness and great niece, Paris D. Clay; a host of family and friends.
Public viewing will be held 2-6 p.m. on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 9, 2021, in the chapel of John P. Franklin Funeral Home. Interment is in Forest Hills Cemetery.
