Dr. Dawn Ford Named President-Elect Of Tennessee Public Health Association

Dr. Dawn M. Ford of UTC has been announced as president-elect of the Tennessee Public Health Association.

Dr. Ford, who is a professor of public health at UTC, was elected on Sept. 30. She will serve the nearly 1,000 member organization as president-elect through September of 2023, and then as president of TPHA through September 2024.

TPHA is an affiliated association of the American Public Health Association and represents professionals working across the state in the fields of health education, communicable and infectious diseases, nursing, pharmacy, emergency preparedness, environmental health, and others.

Dr. Ford had previously served on the TPHA board as vice president of East Tennessee for two years.
