  • Tuesday, November 8, 2022

Drs. Chris Young and Jon Cohen, as well as Lynda Minks Hood and Pat Eller Lee will be honored at Erlanger Health System Foundation’s 19th Annual Dinner of Distinction on Feb. 10, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. in the Westin Hotel Ballroom. Dr. Phil Burns will be serving as emcee for the event.

Drs. Young and Cohen were selected by previous “Distinguished Physician Award” honorees to be recognized for their enduring commitment to improving the health of the community, as well as demonstrating unquestionable character and human compassion. Additional criteria used to choose honorees include: a person who has contributed a lifetime of medical benefit to the community and a person committed to the healing mission and values of Erlanger.

Erlanger Foundation will also honor Ms. Minks Hood with the “Gordon Street Distinguished Community Leadership Award.” This annual award is presented to community leaders who have championed the advancement of healthcare in the Chattanooga region, are committed to improving the health of people throughout our community, and are dedicated to the healing mission and values of Erlanger.

This year, Erlanger Foundation will have a Special Honoree, Ms. Eller Lee, who will also be recognized for her contributions to the medical community.

Erlanger’s Dinner of Distinction will be at the Westin Hotel. A welcome reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner and a program honoring the 2023 Distinguished Honorees at 7 p.m.

Tyler Winks, CEO of Erlanger East and North Hospitals and the 2023 Dinner of Distinction chair, said, “This is a wonderful event to honor those who live out our mission ‘to compassionately care for people each and every day.”

Premier seating sponsorships are currently available at $1,500 per table. Tickets are $150 per person. Seating is limited, and the deadline to purchase tickets is Jan. 10, however this event usually sells out early.
