Travis Mills
Siskin Hospital is honored to have Travis Mills as the guest speaker at the 19th Annual “Possibilities: Siskin Hospital Celebrates Life Beyond Disability” event on Tuesday, March 8. The event is virtual and will be livestreamed at 11:30 a.m. It will be available to view until March 15.
U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Travis Mills of the 82nd Airborne was critically injured by an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) on his third tour of duty in Afghanistan. Travis suffered the loss of both arms and legs, making him one of only five quadruple amputees from the wars in Iraq an Afghanistan. Enduring a grueling rehabilitation program, Travis committed himself not only to recovery, but also to fatherhood and to giving back to the veteran community any way he could. Travis will share his inspirational message of enduring hope: “never give up – never quit.”
“Possibilities” will also feature inspirational videos highlighting the daily miracles that take place at Siskin Hospital as patients learn to overcome disability. All money raised at Possibilities will go toward the Charity Care funds that provides financial assistance to those without insurance.
