Casi Joy
Nashville Singer-Songwriter Casi Joy, contestant from The Voice, is coming to Whiskey Cowgirl in Chattanooga on Nov. 25 in support of her debut album, Miles and Maybes.
Review for Casi Joy:
The fan favorite has been performing non-stop while taking time out to do fill in club dates for her Nashville friends who have also been on the road. The star could be seen at festivals, sports stadiums and clubs, including headlining the world's largest BBQ contest- The American Royal World Series BBQ. The event is Kansas City's largest barbecue contest and serves as the American Royal's primary fundraiser with over 70,000 spectators each year.
Casi’s summer tour has proved to be popular not only with fans but also with TV producers, resulting in offers to appear on top-rated shows in every market, often with return bookings. Earlier this month, in one week alone, Casi was welcomed on Fox4 Great Day KC, CBS/KCTV5 and ABC Downtown Rocks Panama City. Prior to the tour kick off, Joy and her band performed on WSMV TV’s Today in Nashville along with standout track “Partners In Time.” Upon its release, “Partners in Time” was highlighted by Billboard as a “Must-Hear New Country Track.” “This shimmering pop-country confection plays up the subtle shades of blues in Joy’s voice, as well as her flutter-soft falsetto” Billboard writes, “as she chronicles a couple’s lives—from a nervous first kiss to a love still going strong after a decade.”
Miles and Maybes—Casi Joy’s first full-length record of original music since coming to national attention—stands as a careful and hard-earned document of an artist with a continued commitment to finding joy in her craft, and a singular perspective on the things that really matter. Arriving in the wake of a whirlwind couple of years of professional and creative achievements for the emerging artist, it still manages to feel like she’s just getting started. “Even after some of the biggest moments of my life,” she explains, “it’s always like I’m chasing that feeling that I had and chasing the next one that’s even bigger.”
Early reception to Miles and Maybes has warmly praised the record as a distinct songwriting achievement for the beloved performer; an earlier feature on Taste of Country described the album as “an enlightening body of work,” while a feature on Holler later praised the record for “(managing) to bottle up the sheer joyful energy of her live shows into a daring pop country party record,” going on to describe it as “an album that shines a light on her distinctive way with words—as thoughtful and deeply personal as they are widely relatable—always with an ear for a banging pop hook.”
Casi Joy's rise to fame began on The Voice, where her powerful vocals and charm captured hearts.
