For a fifth straight year, the Lee University Athletic Department laid claim to the Gulf South Conference All-Sports Trophy after earning four league championships this season. The GSC began recognizing the All-Sports Trophy during the 2013-14 season.
UWF won the first six trophies while Lee has now won the last five.

For both the men’s and women’s all-sports trophies, Lee finished in third place in both. The Lady Flames had 43.375 points while the Flames had 36.375 points.

“We’re honored to have won the GSC All-Sports Trophy for the fifth consecutive year,” said Athletic Director John Maupin. “It would not happen without the support we receive from Dr. Conn and the administration at Lee University. We are grateful to be part of an institution that values success in Athletics and supports the dreams of our student-athletes and coaches. I am proud of our whole department and the work that goes into each year—this is always a great recognition of those efforts. It’s a great time to be a Lee University Flame!”

In the overall standings, UWF finished second while Mississippi College was a distant third with 98.625 points. The University of Alabama in Huntsville was fourth with 93.985 points and the University of Montevallo was fifth with 89.625 points.
