Donald “Don” A. Smith
Donald “Don” A. Smith, 89, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025, beside his wife’s side.

He was born in Powells Crossroads, Al., the late Ruby Moss. Donald was the owner and operator of Fiberglass Crafter. He enjoyed camping and fishing and loved spending time with his family. Donald was a longtime member of Lupton Drive Baptist Church. He was a member of the Cherokee Trails # 23 camping club.

He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Bo, Doug, and Ken Moss and Susan Schoeder.

Donald is survived by his wife of 70 years, Mary Fay Smith; son, David A. (Toby) Smith; grandchildren, Gregory (Laura) Parker and Corey (Tori) Smith; great grandchildren, Kayden, Lindsey and Tanner Parker, Della and Maddox Smith; sister, Faye Burklow.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, and 12-1 pm on Thursday, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Donald’s life will follow at 1 p.m. on Thursday at the North Chapel with Reverend Randy Bell and Reverend Roger DeHart officiating.

Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Contributions may be made in Donald’s name to Lupton Drive Baptist Church, 859 Lupton Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37415.
