Tom F. Neal, Jr., 79, of Red Bank, passed away on May 16, 2025 at his residence.

He was born on Dec. 27, 1945, to Tom F. Neal, Sr and Oleta Quarles, and spent his entire life in Signal Mountain and Red Bank. He attended Red Bank High School and worked at Wright's Meat Market and for the Signal Mountain Police Department. He retired from Combustion Engineering, where he worked for many years.

Tom was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Lynda D. Neal, parents Tom F. Neal, Sr and Oleta Quarles, and sisters Paula Clay and Jean Farley.

Tom is survived by his daughters, Kim Coley (Curt) of Hixson, and Susan Dick of Saulsbury, Tennessee, son Danny Neal of Signal Mountain, brother David Neal (Sandy) of Fredonia Mountain, and sisters Debbie Gaston (Chuck) of Soddy Daisy and Vickie Neal of Signal Mountain, and grandson Alex Coley of Hixson, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Tom was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church. He will be remembered for his generous soul and gentle nature. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather (Pops).

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of Guiding Grace and Hearth Hospice for their compassionate care and support. Your kindness and dedication brought comfort and peace during his final days, for which we are forever grateful.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 19, from 4-6 p.m. and Tuesday, May 20, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel. A Celebration of Life service will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home chapel.

Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
