Wildie “Buddy” Roy Brown, Jr., 90, of Evensville, passed away at his home on Thursday, May 15, 2025.

He was born in Kingston, Tennessee, on July 28, 1934, the son of the late Wildie Brown, Sr. and Mamie Lou (Crowe) Brown. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Cody Brown; his four sisters, Jo Thorton, Brenda Tipton, Judy Brown, and Margaret Armour; and his brother, Howard Brown.

Buddy retired from TVA as an assistant to the construction manager and manager of maintenance support. He was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Brown of Evensville; his three sons, Randy (Connie) Brown of Midtown, Mark Brown, and Jason Brown, both of Kingston; his two grandchildren, Grace Brown, and Bryley Brown; and his sister Mary Brown of Florida.

Funeral services for Buddy will be held in the funeral home chapel on Sunday, May 18, at 3 p.m. with Dr. Roger Rothwell officiating. He will be laid to rest at Rhea Memory Gardens followed by a white dove release.

The family is being cared for by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton, Tn., where they will receive friends on Sunday, May 18, from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
