Katherine B. Shrum, 90, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died on Thursday, June 26, 2025.

She follows her husband of 58 years, Stanley Dean Shrum, as well as her parents, Tom and Annie Ruth Dodson, brothers, Ralph, Charles, Bud, Elmer, and Verlon Dodson and sisters Sylvia Christol (Jack), Violet Naves, Elizabeth Busby (Jim), and Lorine Turnipseed, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her remaining sibling, Larry Dodson; daughter, Stace Shrum; son, Tony Shrum; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Shrum, and beloved granddaughter, Katie Shrum. She leaves many cherished nieces and nephews and grand and great grand nieces and nephews to remember her.

Kathy's wishes were that in lieu of flowers or plants, a donation be made to the Dementia Society of America, Alzheimer's Association or the Michael J. Fox Foundation at give.michaeljfox.org.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, June 30, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

A committal service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
