Boat Operator Dies At Dale Hollow Reservoir

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency Officers responded to a call just after 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, concerning a boat operator in the water.

According to witnesses, Roger Howell from Overton County was slumped over the steering wheel and then fell from the boat. The incident took place near Sunset Marina on Dale Hollow Reservoir. Bystanders pulled Mr. Howell, who was wearing a life jacket, from the water and performed CPR.

Mr. Howell was transported to Livingston Region Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. 

This is the sixth boating related fatality this year.
