The Chattanooga Lookouts pulled off a second consecutive victory at the Birmingham Barons by a score of 5-3 to conclude the series on Sunday afternoon.
First baseman Ruben Ibarra was the difference maker once again with a three run homerun, his third of the year. The Lookouts scored their five runs on only five hits, but were also walked seven times by Barons pitchers.
On the mound four Lookouts pitchers scattered six hits and struck out ten Barons batters on the night. Reliever Joel Valdez picked up his first win of the season and now boasts an earned run average of only 1.62. Simon Miller pitched a perfect ninth inning to earn his second save of the season.
The Lookouts return to Chattanooga to begin a long homestand beginning with the Rocket City Trash Pandas on Tuesday night.
