The Urban League of Greater Chattanooga is partnering with Unum for two workforce development events: a resume and interview skills workshop on May 2 and an in-person hiring event on May 9.
“We are very excited to be partnering with Unum for this career development workshop and hiring event,” said Candy Johnson, president and CEO of ULGC. “At Urban League we strive to provide the training necessary for individuals to be properly equipped and successful in the workforce.”
Participants are invited to attend a career development workshop focusing on revamping resumes and sharpening interview skills in preparation for the following week’s hiring event.
Two session times are available: 12:30-1:30 p.m. and 6-7 p.m. This workshop is available at no charge, but participants must register before the event.
On Tuesday, May 9, from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. the greater Chattanooga area is invited to attend the in-person Unum hiring event. Over 50 positions are available including eligibility specialist positions. Participants are asked to register before the event.
“The skills that we will discuss at this workshop are invaluable for those looking to make their next career move or transition into a new industry,” said Anthony Wiley, senior manager of workforce and family development at ULGC.
Both events will be held at ULGC’s office located at 401 E. M. L. King Blvd., Suite 301.
