The Chattanooga Red Wolves will take on Union Omaha Saturday for the first time in the 2023 season for their eighth match of the season and the sixth at CHI Memorial Stadium. The clubs’ last meeting was on October 22, 2022 with a 1-0 victory for Chattanooga. The two will meet again this season on August 19th in Omaha and back at CHI Memorial Stadium on September 16th.
Chattanooga comes into this match in a quick turnaround after a 2-0 loss in Knoxville on Tuesday, May 16th. Following a lengthy rain delay, the team’s began play with One Knoxville SC getting on the board early in the match.
The Red Wolves’ offensive chances improved in the second half, but the Red Wolves were held off the board until the final whistle.
Union Omaha drew against the Richmond Kickers in their last outing on Friday, May 5th and a 2-3-1 record on the season overall. Their last win came on April 29th in Omaha against Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC by a score of 1-0 while their last road win came against Central Valley Fuego FC on April 8th in a 2-0 victory in Fresno.
