The Mary Walker Foundation announces two family-friendly summer events celebrating its #CampREACH program at Hope City Church, 7 Tuxedo Ave. in Chattanooga.
Established in 2020, #CampREACH is a six-week intensive workplace learning camp that employs high school age students as they learn skills from the following fields of study:
- Financial Literacy;
- Leadership Development;
- Art;
- Music;
- Social Media;
- Social-Emotional Development;
- Logistics;
- Basketball; and
- Strategic Thinking.
This year, 50 students will receive stipends for coursework completion, exhibiting leadership skills, timeliness and demonstrated academic growth.
All funds raised will benefit the student participants and their families for their participation in #CampREACH.
This year, the Mary Walker Foundation hosts its #CampREACH Benefit Concert featuring Willie Kitchens, Jr. on Friday, July 7 at 7 p.m. at Hope City Church. Donations are suggested and can be made at www.marywalkerfoundation.org/REACH.
The benefit concert is followed by the #CampREACH Festival on Saturday, July 8, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., and includes summer fun for the whole family, including entertainment, face painting, food trucks, local vendors and more. This event is open to the public with donations encouraged.
