Debra Jean Nash, 56, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023.

She was a 1984 graduate of Brainerd High School. Debra was a member of Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. She retired from the United States Postal Service after many years of service.

Debra was preceded in death by her father, Sygbee Nash; mother, Loretta Nash; grandmothers, Bertha Stoudemire and Annie Bacon; grandfathers, Percy Allen, Sr. and Frank Cunningham.

Survivors include her son, Marcus Lee Nash of Chattanooga; sisters, Janice Nash (Arnold) Walker of Chattanooga, Sojourner X “Angel” Nash of Denver, CO, Sojourna X “Jai” Nash (Fred, Jr.) McIntosh and Veronica Nash, both of Chattanooga; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.

Debra will lie in state on Friday, Sept. 8, at 9 a.m. at Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at noon at the church with Pastor Billy Church as the eulogist. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
