Cornelius Dewayne Julian
Cornelius Dewayne Julian, 40, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 28, 2025, at his home in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was born on May 23, 1984, to Jennie Raychelle Julian.
Cornelius attended Tyner High School and was known for his deep love for God and his lifelong passion for sports—especially football and wrestling. A devoted fan of SEC football, he dreamed of one day becoming a sportscaster. His musical tastes were as diverse as his personality, with a particular fondness for rock and roll.
Cornelius was the heart of our family—steadfast, joyful, and deeply loving. Despite facing ongoing medical challenges, he remained strong, never complained, and never allowed hardship to diminish his love for others. He lived his life with grace, faith, and quiet strength. His presence brought light to our lives, and his memory will forever be cherished.
We take comfort in knowing that Cornelius is now at peace, resting in the loving arms of God.
Cornelius was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mamie Dykes Julian and John Henry Julian.
Precious memories are left to his mother, Jennie Raychelle Julian; uncle, John Henry Dykes Julian; brother, Jeontae' Lebron Johnson; sister, Jessica Heather Joy; nephew, Ameer Isaiah Robinson; nieces Serenity Faith Joy and Jekalyn Zion Joy; brother-in-law, Darin Cortez Joy.
Public viewing will be held from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13, in the chapel of John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., Chattanooga.
Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens.
