Anna Shaw Children’s Institute will host a screening of “Carl the Collector,” a new PBS KIDS series, on Saturday, Nov. 16 from 10 a.m.-noon at ASCI, 1201 Burleyson Road in Dalton.

Participants will watch the first episode of “Carl the Collector,” have a chance to meet Julia from Sesame Street and take part in hands-on activities.

The event is designed for children ages four to eight, but everyone is welcome. This new series is the first to feature central characters on the autism spectrum.
It promotes diversity and friendship and celebrates each individual’s unique strengths.

The event is co-sponsored by Georgia Public Broadcasting and Early Childhood Initiative, a reading promotion program of the Community Foundation of Northwest Georgia.
