Southern Adventist University announces Constance E. C. Gane, PhD will present “The Assyrian War Machine: Expansion and Conquest” on Monday, March 25 at 7 p.m. in Lynn Wood Hall Chapel on campus as part of a lecture series highlighting the history and archaeology of the ancient Near East.

Drawing from more than 30 years of archaeological experience, Dr. Gane has participated in numerous excavation projects in the Near East and has had the privilege of exploring some of the most well-known archaeological sites.
Working extensively in northern Iraq and specializing in the archaeology of ancient Assyria, she has also been involved with long-running excavations at Tall Jalul in Jordan as part of the Madaba Plains Project. In emerita, she is an associate professor of Archaeology and Old Testament, associate director of the Institute of Archaeology and curator of the Siegfried H. Horn Museum at Andrews University in Michigan.
