Cleveland State To Host Mi Sueno Scholarship Dinner

  • Tuesday, May 7, 2024

Cleveland State Community College Foundation will host the 2nd Annual Mi Sueño Scholarship Dinner on Tuesday, May 14, 6 p.m. at St. Therese Church. The Mi Sueño scholarship recognizes students working to better the Hispanic community.

The scholarship was created in 2023 to provide financial support for students to attend Cleveland
State in order to better the lives of those in the Hispanic community. The scholarship will help students prepare for careers that support the workforce needs of our community and earn competitive wages which provide a viable pathway to prosperity. The scholarship can be applied
towards degree programs or professional certifications.

“It has always been a dream of mine to become a nurse since nobody in my family has graduated
from college, and I want to set an example,” said scholarship recipient Kaily Perez. “You have
allowed me to take one step closer to my goal. I again thank you so much and appreciate your
help!” Perez is one of three scholarship recipients who will be honored at the dinner.

Gold sponsors for the event are Southeast Bank and Wacker Polysilicon. Silver sponsor is Super
Carnicerias Loa, and El Maguey is the dinner sponsor. Tickets for the dinner are $40. Proceeds
will help fund the scholarship.
