La Paz Chattanooga Announces New Full-Time Staff, Board Members And Executive Committee Members

La Paz Chattanooga has appointed its 2024 board of directors’ executive committee, added several new members to its board and grown its full-time staff by onboarding a new case manager. As the organization continues to commemorate its 20th anniversary year, these appointments position the organization for continued expansion and impact in 2024 and beyond, officials said.

“La Paz’s staying power in our community can be directly tied to the passion and tireless efforts of our team and our board members,” said Stacy Johnson, president and CEO at La Paz Chattanooga.
“As I reflect on the last 20 years, I am in awe of what we’ve been able to accomplish, and I feel truly humbled to continue having the opportunity to expand our team, thereby adding to our incredible network of support across the community.”

Appointments to La Paz’s executive committee include: 
- Josselyn Aguilera Nielsen, board chair, owner, North Star Boutique; 
- Shadrina Booker, vice chair, director of community engagement, City of Chattanooga;
- Moises Cardenas, secretary, partner, production director, Sentri Roofing; and
- Corinne Henderson, CPA, CVA, treasurer, partner, Henderson & Gardner, PLLC;

The organization’s new board members include: 
- Arielle Hayes, principal, University High; 
- David Roddy, chief operating officer, Hamilton County; and
- Suzy Anthony, vice president of Finance and Operations, United Way of Greater Chattanooga.

The organization’s new case manager, Claudia Rodríguez Mandujano, was previously a Spanish teacher at Girls Preparatory School. Born and raised in Mexico City, Ms. Rodríguez holds a master's degree in psychology. 

"Throughout her career, Ms. Rodríguez has taught both English and Spanish to students of all ages, instilling a love for language and culture. At La Paz, Ms. Rodríguez aims to utilize her psychology and education background to support and empower individuals within the community," officials said.
