502-846 Barton Avenue
Multiple water leaks have been detected on Barton Avenue northbound between McFarland Avenue and Hixson Pike. These small leaks are known to Tennessee American Water and City of Chattanooga Public Works crews. These are suspected to be service lines and not main pipes. Some water will freeze overnight, however Public Works will salt these areas as required. Tennessee American Water will address these leaks shortly, which may require northbound Barton Avenue to be shifted into the center turn lane. This work will take place within the coming days/week. Continue to use caution in this area.
To report water leaks both in and outside the city right of way, contact Tennessee American Water 24/7 at 866 736-6420.
