Battling Mother Nature, as well as tough Chattanooga Area Swim League opponents, both Cleveland summer teams came up on the short end Monday evening — one at home and the other on the road.

After a good season-opening win the previous week, the Cleveland Aqua Tigers suffered their first loss, falling to White Division leader and undefeated Big Ridge Raiders (3-0) in a 432.5-372.5 outcome, in a rain delayed meet at Tinsley Park pool.

Meanwhile, the Waterdogs traveled to Chattanooga to tangle with the Ridgeside Dolphins (1-2) in a 428-356 tally.

Only two other of the half dozen scheduled meets were able to complete Monday's action,  before heavy rain washed out the rest.

Both Bradley County swim squads will be back in action Thursday evening at 6 with home meets — CAT (1-1) hosting the Red Bank Gators (2-1) at Tinsley Park, while the Waterdogs (0-2) will be looking for win No.
1 as the Chattanooga Golf & Country Club Wavemakers (1-0) come calling at the Cleveland Community Center pool.

RIDGESIDE DOLPHINS 428
