CASL: Aqua Tigers Outswim Cumberland, 441-339

Capping the Chattanooga Area Swim League regular season, the Cleveland Aqua Tigers completed bookend victories over the Cumberland Currents Monday evening.

Starting the summer session with a 447-274 victory in its home Tinsley Park back on June 2, CAT overcame the Currents 441-339 to wrap up the campaign.

The Aqua Tigers finish with a 3-4 record, finishing in third place in the White Division race, and now prepare for the league's annual Bill Caulkins City Meet Friday and Saturday, in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Four "Perfect 19s" from Mariam Christmann, Sophie Hughes, Kevin Curley and Elias Eldred led the way as CAT had 22 swimmers put up double-digits, which accounted for more than 70% of the winning tally.

Reed Blackmon and Maddie Peterson notched 17 markers effort for the victors.

Helping out with 15 points each were Caroline Kate Elrod, Palmer Blackmon and Teddy Elliott.

Ben Condo and Nathan Jossart added 14 markers apiece for the Aqua Tigers.

Putting up a "baker's dozen" (13) were Lu Colchado, Jaxon Moseley and David Elder.

Jay Eldred and Christopher Frazier tallied 12 points each.

CAT got a trio of 11s from Chloe Frakes, Mark Peterson and Santiago Eldred.

Rounding out the Aqua Tiger double-digit showings were Juniper Seyer, Lilah Parrish and Millie Wiseman.

Only 11 Currents put up 10 of more points with Zach Schurr and Carter Young reaching perfection with 19 markers.

Kymiri Turner helped out with 16 points, while Jillian Schuster and Lola Phipps notched 15 points apiece.

Cumberland (1-7) got 14 from Oliver Browning-Couch, plus 13 each by Ellison Honeycutt and Jude Carpenter.

Madelyn McDonald, Izzy Lewis and Calvin Harris rounded out the home team tally with 10 markers apiece.
