Woman Arrested For Third False Report - And Other East Ridge Police Calls

6700 BLK Ringgold Rd.- Domestic Disorder/Arrest
The caller stated her child’s father had punched her in the chest and fled the scene. Police had spoken with the woman several times prior, and she made the same allegations. Police conducted a records check of her ID and found she had two valid arrest warrants through East Ridge for false reports. She later admitted to police she was making this alleged assault up as well.
She was charged with another false report charge.

 

3600 BLK Phelps Street – Domestic Disorder

A family member told police her daughter was being held hostage by a girlfriend. Officers made contact with a female who identified herself as the daughter and said the two parties had been arguing at the gas station. Officers then relocated to the two parties and found no evidence corroborating a kidnapping. A disorder prevention was conducted while the woman moved her belongings out of the house.

5400 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft
Police responded to the bank on a reported theft. The victim has been in a medical facility receiving care since early January. His caregivers discovered his bank account was fraudulently used, and his funds were depleted.

1300 BLK Swope Drive – Suspicious Person
Police responded to the woods off Swope for a suspicious person. Police encountered a man who was “just hanging” out in the area. He was checked for warrants and advised that urban camping is not permitted and to vacate the area.

1000 BLK John Ross Road - Domestic assault
Police spoke with the complainant and victim who stated her ex-boyfriend had assaulted her. She stated she was grabbed by her hair and neck which left a visible mark on her neck. Warrants are being sought for Domestic Assault.

5800 BLK Welworth Avenue- Domestic Assault
A woman informed police of her boyfriend assaulting her. She stated she was driving south on Graston Avenue when the couple had a verbal altercation. The suspect then struck her with an open hand and a closed fist around her eye. She had a black eye at the time of taking her report. Warrants were taken out and were executed the same day.

1600 BLK Castleberry Ave.- Alarm
Police responded to this address on reports of a front door alarm. Upon arrival, Police spoke to the homeowner through a Ring doorbell camera. The homeowner advised she was out of town. Officers checked the residence and found it to be secured.

6900 BLK Glen Errol Way- Burglary
Police responded to this address on reports of a burglary. The officer spoke with the resident who advised someone had broken into her garage and stole her Nike Air Jordan’s. She stated she also noticed some body fragrance sprays were taken. She believed the suspect to be her ex-boyfriend. CID was notified and arrived on scene. Warrants are pending further investigation.

7300 BLK Haven Hill Ln.- Alarm-
Police responded to this address on reports of an alarm. Officers checked the residence and found it to be secured.

Night Shift March 21: C Team

3800 BLK Kingwood Circle – Disorder
Police responded to a disorder near this address and determined a male and female had a verbal argument. No signs of an assault were found and the individuals agreed to separate for the evening.

601 Justice Way – Warrant Service
While in custody at the Hamilton County Jail, a man was served with an Alias Capias warrant through the City of East Ridge. The original charge was Driving on a Revoked License.

1500 BLK Keeble Street – Burglary in Progress
The resident reported seeing part of a man’s hand come through the dog door in her kitchen. She did not see a face and no other part of the suspect entered the home. Police responded to the residence but did not locate the suspect or any signs of forced entry.

4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service Hold
Catoosa County Deputies encountered a party and determined he had an Alias Capias warrant through the City of East Ridge. A hold was placed and he was transported to the Catoosa County Jail. The original charge for the Capias was Driving on a Revoked License.

100 BLK Cecil Lane – Assault
A woman reported another woman had assaulted her after being found with her husband. The suspect was not on scene when police arrived, and no charges have been filed for the incident.

1100 BLK McBrien Road– Back EMS
Police stood by while EMS treated an adult who had consumed too much alcohol and could not control her basic movements. The patient was transported by EMS to a local hospital for treatment.

3100 BLK Ringgold Road – Assist Other Agency
ERPD units assisted Chattanooga Police Officers with a crash investigation by closing off the westbound access to the Bachman tunnels. A black Chevrolet truck was found wrecked and abandoned inside the tunnel near Westside Drive.

700 BLK S Seminole Drive – Assist Other Agency
While assisting CPD with a crash investigation, ERPD units observed a male walk out of the eastbound Bachman Tunnel. Police caught up to the individual on S Seminole Drive and conducted a consensual encounter. The male was identified and found to have two arrest warrants through Catoosa County. He was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.

Day Shift March 22: A Team

500 BLK South Moore Road – Suspicious Person
The caller requested a male party be removed from the school’s property due to her concern that he was a “pedophile”. No male was located at the school, and it is unclear why she made the allegation.

Bennett Road/Frederick Drive – Traffic Stop/Arrest
Following a traffic stop, a party was arrested and transported to the Hamilton County Jail on a warrant out of Sessions Court.

Camp Jordan Pkwy- Narcotics Violation
Police responded to the Camp Jordan Ball Fields on reports of a woman who had a seizure and hit her head. Officers observed the woman on the ground and bleeding from her face. EMS responded to the scene and transported her to the hospital. A bystander handed police her Nike backpack and the officer observed, in plain view, narcotics. A search of the bag located 2 syringes, a clear bag filled with crystal-like substance and a glass pipe, located in a sunglass container. Police seized the bag and upon further investigation discovered one of the syringes filled with 2.5ML of a clear substance and 0.9GM of meth. After the woman was discharged from the hospital, police took her into custody and transported her to Hamilton County Jail. She was charged with Possession of Meth and Possession of drug paraphernalia.

1311 Adonna Lane – Disorder
Police responded to a reported disorder between a man and woman. The couple said the disagreement was verbal only and agreed to work on their issues in a civil manner.

4200 BLK Ringgold Road – Crash
Police responded to the parking lot on a reported crash. The party said she was rear ended at the traffic light by a white sedan at Ringgold & Dover. The white sedan then drove off Westbound towards the tunnels. No visible damage was observed or any indication a crash had occurred. ERFD and Medic 7 evaluated the woman for a complaint of back and neck pain. She declined medical transport and stated she would drive herself to seek medical treatment.

Night Shift March 22: C Team

500 BLK Benson Drive – Auto Theft
Michael Nelson reported that a known female had stolen his 2014 Kia Optima along with $800 in cash. He stated she stayed at his house on March 21st and left early the following morning. The victim then left his home and later came back to find his car and the money was missing. Warrants are pending additional evidence to confirm the suspect’s identity.

5500 BLK Ringgold – Well-Being Check
Employees contacted Police over concerns for a homeless man found near the business. Officers spoke with him regarding his situation. The party was given a courtesy ride to the Chattanooga Rescue Mission .

1000 BLK Bass Pro Drive – Disorder
Police responded to multiple reports of automobiles and motorcycles speeding in the parking lot of the business. Officers found approximately 100 people walking around sports cars, customized vehicles, and motorcycles. Police broke up the unauthorized party and dispersed the crowd. The business’ management also confirmed that no large groups or gatherings were authorized in their parking lot.

3600 BLK Ringgold Road– Suspicious Activity
A man reported three people were attempting to break into his room and his vehicle at the motel. He identified the suspects by name, but responding officers found no one near the room and no signs of forced entry. Police checked the area but did not locate any suspects.

4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service
Following a Disorder in Chattanooga, a woman was arrested by CPD for an Alias Capias warrant through the City of East Ridge. ERPD Officers took custody of her and transported her to the Hamilton County Jail without incident. The original charge for the Capias was Theft Over $1000.

1400 BLK Prater Road – Disorder / Arrest
Police responded to a disorder and found a party standing outside the residence. Officers determined that the man was visiting friends when he became very intoxicated and belligerent. As a result, he was asked to leave the home. He refused to call an Uber or cooperate in finding a place to stay for the evening. The subject was arrested for Public Intoxication and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without further incident.

4000 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Arrest
Following a traffic stop, a party was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence, Driving Without a License, and Failure to Maintain Lane.

4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity / Arrest
Police observed a white Dodge Challenger sitting at a traffic light intersection for an extended period. The officer approached the vehicle and found a man sleeping in the driver’s seat. Upon further investigation, police found him to be intoxicated, and he was arrested for suspicion of Driving Under the Influence.

400 BLK Tunnel Boulevard – Assist Other Agency
While enroute to the City of Ridgeside, an ERPD unit located a vehicle stopped in the roadway with a female running around it. Police identified the female and found she was experiencing a mental health crisis. Chattanooga Police along with EMS responded to the scene. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Day Shift March 23: A Team

500 BLK Frawley Rd – Alarm
Officers were dispatched to this address on reports of an alarm. Upon arrival, police observed the parishioners worshipping. The facility was secure.

1200 BLK Blocker Lane - Suspicious Activity
Police were informed of a possible burglary in progress at Brainerd Baptist Church, and three male subjects were seen in the area. Upon arrival, police observed three males with skateboards and scooters in front of the church. Two of the three subjects were juveniles, and one male was an adult. The parties were detained for further investigation because of a window found open on the backside of the church. Police cleared the area and found no one else in the area. Video footage showed the parties not entering the building at any time. All male subjects were let go and advised to go back to their residence(s).

3800 BLK Kingwood Circle – Backup EMS
Police responded to this address on report of an unconscious female who was possibly overdosing. On arrival, officers performed CPR until EMS arrived. On-call CID was notified, and the party was transported to Parkridge East Hospital for further treatment.

3800 BLK Kingwood Circle – Disorder Prevention –
A man requested officers stand by while his ex-father-in-law removed his belongings from his home. No disorder occurred.

400 BLK Garcia Ln – Auto Theft
A woman reported her 2017 silver Hyundai Elantra was stolen from her residence overnight. At this time there were no suspects, and the vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen.

Night Shift March 23: C Team

1300 BLK Marlboro Ave – Well Being Check
Police attempted a well-being check after a party made suicidal statements to a family member. Police were unable to locate him at the residence, and a county wide bulletin was issued. Approximately 30 minutes later, Deputies with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office located the party unconscious behind the wheel of a work van near Harrison Bay. He was transported to a hospital for treatment.

1000 BLK McBrien Road – Domestic Assault / Arrest
Police responded to a 911 hang-up at this residence. Officers determined that a man assaulted his ex-girlfriend inside the home. Police also found that he had denied her the use of her phone and attempted to keep her confined to a bathroom. Th suspect was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault, Interference with a 911 Call and False Imprisonment.

I-24 Westbound – Assist Other Agency
ERPD units responded to a crash with injuries on Westbound I-24. ERPD determined the crash occurred in Chattanooga and Chattanooga PD responded to the location. ERPD units remained on scene to assist the Chattanooga PD units with traffic control and information requirements.

601 Justice Way – Warrant Service
While in custody at the Hamilton County Jail, a man was served with four Forfeiture Capias warrants from the City of East Ridge. The original charges for the capias warrants were Possession of Methamphetamine for Resale, Possession of MDMA for Resale, Possession of Cocaine for Resale, and Possession of Marijuana for Resale.

601 Justice Way – Warrant Service
While in custody at the Hamilton County Jail, a party was served with a Forfeiture Capias from the City of East Ridge. The original charge for the capias warrant was Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

6000 BLK Ringgold Road – Field Interview
Police located a male running in the 6000 block of Ringgold Road and conducted a consensual encounter. The male was identified and a check through Dispatch revealed he was a violent registered sex offender. Police also found that he was recently released from the Georgia Department of Corrections.

6500 BLK Ringgold Road– Disorder
Police responded to a Disorder at the hotel and found three individuals arguing in a room. Officers determined the three individuals were friends and the two females were in a physical altercation over personal issues. A man stepped in between the two females to stop the fight and was accidently hit by both females. No one in the group wished to seek charges for assault and the three individuals separated for the evening.

4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Assist EMS
A concerned citizen flagged down Police and reported an elderly male fell while he was walking. Police checked the patient and found he was experiencing an altered mental state. The officer provided immediate medical support until Hamilton County EMS arrived on scene.

Day Shift March 24: B Team

1500 BLK Springvale- Suspicious Person/ Arrest
A man was arrested for disorderly conduct and public intoxication as he was going through multiple houses’ backyards and was found at this address on the front porch. He also appeared to be under the influence of a narcotic.

6500 BLK Ringgold Road- Follow-up/ Warrants
A follow-up was conducted regarding this case. During the follow-up it was discovered that the suspect had also threatened the manager who did feel that his threats were valid at the time. The suspect will have two warrants sought against him for Vandalism and Assault. The restaurant has requested a frequent patrol to be conducted until the subject is served on these warrants as after this incident he showed back up to the restaurant and has been calling establishment.

4214 Ringgold Rd – Menatally Disturbed
A man arrived at the East Ride Police Department in a visibly distressed and panicked state. He informed officers that he had been pursued by gang members, claiming the harassment had been ongoing for approximately eight years. He reported no physical altercation but remained adamant that he was being followed. During the interaction, it was discovered that he was operating a vehicle with a revoked driver's license and was therefore unable to legally drive himself home. He was able to contact a friend to provide him with transportation.

1500 BLK Tombras Avenue – Rolling Disorder
The caller reported being followed by a gray Chevy Silverado following an incident that occurred in Chattanooga’s jurisdiction. According to the complainant, she had attempted to pass the vehicle while it was stopped in a trafficway in Chattanooga and the other driver responded by following her into East Ridge. Police contacted the parties after the complainant called police and were instructed to stop in the parking lot of the park. Officers spoke with both drivers and advised them of the possible consequences and dangers of following drivers during rolling disorders. Both parties were released and sent on their way.

6900 BLK Glen Errol Way- Disorder
Police were dispatched in reference to an unruly juvenile. The Reporting Party was advised that she needed to take attachments out at Juvenile Court for unruly behavior. The Reporting Party advised that the Juvenile might run away from this address as well later in the evening. The grandmother was advised what to do if that happened and the Juvenile was instructed to remain in the home.

Night Shift March 24: D Team

200 BLK Eads Street – Well-Being Check
Bradley County Sheriff's Office requested a well-being check on the elderly mother of a party in custody who has not heard from her in over two weeks. Police spoke with the woman and confirmed she was okay.

800 BLK S Seminole Drive – Intoxicated Person
A passerby observed a woman walking on the roadside appearing to be intoxicated. Police interviewed the woman and provided a courtesy ride to her home.

5400 BLK Marion Avenue – Animal Call
Police responded to the above address for a report of two aggressive dogs roaming freely. Officers located the owner who was able to secure them inside a fence. Animal Services responded because this is an ongoing issue. Animal Services is working with the owner to find a solution.

5600 BLK Ringgold Road– Disorder
A man was issued a criminal trespass warning at the request of management after he created a disorder by cursing and yelling at other patrons. The man stated he understood he would be arrested for criminal trespassing if he returned.


800 BLK S Germantown Road – Property
A resident discovered a briefcase with personal belongings inside on the ground beside his mailbox. The briefcase was inventoried and placed in the property room for safekeeping to be released to the owner.

5300 BLK Bennett Rd– Domestic Assault
A woman stated her ex-boyfriend kicked in her bathroom door when she was inside. She further alleged that she was in fear for her life. She was unable to provide any information about the male other than his first name. She was able to show officers a picture of the male and he had tattoos over his brows. Using the pictures officers were able to determine his identity.

1000 BLK Blanton Dr- Baby Delivery
Police responded to a baby being born at this residence. The baby had already been delivered before the officers arrived. Mom and baby appeared to be in good health. The scene was turned over to Fire and EMS.

3700 BLK Fountain Avenue – Noise Complaint
Police responded to a possible domestic disturbance after a neighbor reported hearing fighting in another apartment. Police investigated the source of the noise and discovered a couple watching a movie with the volume extremely loud. The couple agreed to turn down the movie.
