Chelsea O'Shields
HHM Certified Public Accountants announces the promotion of Chelsea O'Shields, CPA, to partner. With this promotion, HHM’s partner group expands to 35 professionals.
Officials said, "Chelsea’s journey with HHM began over a decade ago as a tax season intern. Her strong work ethic, commitment to professional development and passion for client service quickly earned her a full-time role in the firm’s tax department. Since then, she has built a reputation as a trusted advisor, bringing strategic insight and deep technical expertise to clients across a variety of industries.
"Over the years, Chelsea has led numerous tax and assurance engagements, focusing on customized strategies to help clients navigate complex financial matters and achieve their business goals.
Her areas of expertise include identifying and applying state and federal tax credits, leveraging accelerated depreciation strategies and structuring mergers and acquisitions to maximize tax savings.
"In addition to her client work, Chelsea plays a significant role in HHM’s internal initiatives, including campus recruiting and staff mentorship. She is known for her collaborative leadership style and her ability to help team members grow professionally, —qualities that strengthen the firm’s culture and long-term success."
Ms. O'Shields earned her bachelor of science in accounting from Lee University and is a licensed CPA. Her professional affiliations include the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Chattanooga and Pensacola Chamber of Commerce.
