Wellpoint Tennessee, in partnership with the Chattanooga Boys and Girls Club, will be hosting a “Back to School Bash” to help equip children with the supplies and resources they need to prepare for a successful school year. The event will be held today from noon-2 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chattanooga, 2125 E. 25th Street Pl. in Chattanooga. Our children are addicted to their cell phones. I don’t blame the kids, I would be the same way, probably worse. The Bradley County Schools have a new cell phone policy: ban the cell, bell to bell. If you’re in class, no cell phone. Hamilton County Schools should follow the courageous lead of our sister city. Every week for most of this Major League Baseball season, there’s been a growing opinion that it can’t get any worse for the Atlanta Braves. Injuries, prolonged hitting slumps and shoddy pitching long ago derailed a once-promising season.
