Jerry Wayne Campbell
Jerry Wayne Campbell, 78, of Soddy Daisy, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, August 1, 2025.
He was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church. Wayne was a retired law enforcement officer with the city of Chattanooga with 25 years of service. After retirement he worked with SETHRA Transit where he enjoyed helping senior citizens.
Wayne was a family man. He enjoyed coaching baseball for his boys and his grandsons and motocross racing with his grandson. Wayne loved watching Andy Griffith and the Atlanta Braves.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Garnett and Louise Campbell; and brothers, Ronnie Campbell and Brian Campbell.
Survivors are his wife of 58 years, Diane Payne Campbell; children, Chris Campbell (Tabatha), Brad Campbell (Stephanie), Becky Branam (Billy), Preston Campbell and Kasie Campbell; grandchildren, Madison, Holly, Baylee, Mason; great-grandchildren, Lydia, Maggie, Paxton, Saylor, Rowan, Lexi and Levi; brothers, Gary Campbell (Jimmie) and David Campbell; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 5, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Oak Street Baptist Church. Services will be on Tuesday, August 5, at 2 p.m. at Oak Street Baptist Church with Dr. Darrell Winters and Richard Floyd officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
