Nathan Lindsey Harris
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nathan Lindsey Harris, age 44, on July 30, 2025.
Nathan was born February 3, 1981, in Chattanooga, Tn. He attended Baylor School where he excelled as an athlete and was a member of the first Baylor wrestling team to win a state championship.
He attained a Construction Science Degree from East Tennessee State University and returned to Chattanooga, where he worked for many years as a construction manager and met and married his wife, Kelley. They welcomed their son, Charlie, two years later. Having an interest in aviation, he subsequently returned to school and began a second career as a Lear Jet pilot where he flew to many locations in the United States and Mexico.
Nathan was preceded in death by his wife, Kelley Coffelt Harris of Chattanooga; along with his grandparents, David and Doris Pope and Odessa Harris of Dayton.
Nathan is survived by his son, Charles David Harris; his parents, Archie and Debbie Harris; brother, Evan (Sarah) Harris; and sister, Sarah (Curt) Evans, all of Chattanooga; and grandparents, Colonel (Jo) Harris of Dayton. He leaves a niece and four nephews, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to The Gideons International so that Bibles may be placed around the world.
A graveside services with be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2, at Spence Cemetery in Dayton, Tn. Immediately following, the family invites attendees to a lunch in Nathan’s honor to be held at New Union Baptist Church, 4060 Double S Road, Dayton, TN.
