There will be a large indoor inflatable jump park at Camp Jordan Aug. 23-24. It will include 25 inflatables, games, food, Kona Ice, vendors, face painting, and a free petting zoo. I am writing to express my outrage and deep concern regarding the proposed hot mix asphalt plant at the intersection of Thrasher Pike and Highway 27 — in close proximity to Ivy Academy (a public school), North Chickamauga Creek, and the North Chickamauga Creek State Natural Area. The fact that a public meeting on this proposal is scheduled for Wednesday, August 13th at 9:00 AM — with little to no notice — is unacceptable. Willeman Dominates For Lookouts In 1-0 Win

Todd Willeman entered a 0-0 game in the bottom of the third inning on Friday night and proceeded to toss six shutout innings to help lead the Chattanooga Lookouts to a 1-0 win over the first place Birmingham Barons. Willeman followed starter Jose Acuna who went two scoreless innings and was followed by a typically perfect night from Trevor Kuncl who earned his 15th save.
