A non-smoking restaurant will open at the Brass Register site at Fountain Square.

Chris Kranske said she plans to open The Vineyard across from the County Courthouse.

The site, owned by Fred Robinson, has been vacant since the Brass Register closed in 1999.

The Vineyard will offer a private banquet/meeting room.

It will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and will have a bar. There will be a sidewalk dining area where smoking will be allowed.
