Loftis Middle School Principal Stacy Stewart has been named director of licensed personnel in the Human Resources Department of the Hamilton County Schools.

Lisa Huskey will become principal at Loftis Middle School.

Ms. Stewart is a 19-year veteran educator who served as principal at Brown Middle for the past five years. She was appointed principal at Loftis Middle in June prior to accepting the HR director’s post.

She formerly served as a teacher at both Loftis and Signal Mountain Middle, as well as a principal trainee and assistant principal.

As director of licensed personnel, Ms. Stewart will be responsible for recruiting special education teachers and staffing. She replaces Mary Anderson, who retired last month.

Ms. Huskey has 15 years of experience as a county educator, having most recently served as assistant principal at Sale Creek Middle/High.

She once worked as a substitute teacher for the district, and has also been an elementary and middle schoolteacher, consulting teacher and principal trainee.
