Delighted With Efforts At Loftis Middle School

  • Thursday, March 13, 2008

There are times individuals must take the time and make the effort to speak out. I am doing so today to express my delight in the efforts being made at Loftis Middle School.

On March 6, my wife and I had the opportunity to attend the production of "The Music Man Junior" by the students of Loftis Middle School. This production included multiple students in an effort that was overwhelming. The energy, the talent, and the effort given by these young people was great. It was clearly evident they had prepared for this night.

The director of the event was Nina Coppinger of the school. Mrs. Coppinger had clearly provided the needed leadership and inspiration to motivate these young students to reach inwardly and perform. She is to be commended for her efforts.

A point that I do not want to miss is the number of parents and friends who were attending that evening. In my estimate, there must have been 250 individuals who came out on a Thursday evening to support Loftis Middle School. The support of the community has an impact on the success or failure of any school.

I write this note as a means to encourage these young students and Mrs. Coppinger. I also write this note to point out that when students, parents, and teachers work in unison, good things can and will happen.

Thanks Loftis Middle School for sharing your success with the community.
