Alexander Frank Soos, 62, of Hixson, died on June 6, 2010.

He was born in Passau, Germany, and raised in New York.

He served eight years in the Air Force. Was a member of Falling Waters Presbyterian Church.

Known to most as Santa, he was Rock City’s Santa for 11 years. He was employed by Republic Parking System. He was a member of Red Bank Masonic Lodge, a TWRA Hunter Safety instructor and a level four archery instructor.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Soos and mother, Maria Soos.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Soos; stepson, Chris White; son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Lind Soos; daughter, Kelly Soos; daughter and son-in-law, Kara and Rob Hiltz; one sister, Silvia Kazel; brother-in-law, Richard, all of New York; and best friends, Bob and Linda Blythe.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 11, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Interment will be at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 12 - 1 p.m. on Friday, June 11, at the North Chapel.
