County Register Of Deeds Awarded County Official Of Year

Hamilton County Register of Deeds Pam Hurst has been named 2012 County Official of the Year by the County Officials Association of Tennessee at its conference in Kingsport, Tn.  Ms. Hurst first took office in September of 1994 and is currently in her fifth term as register.

She has previously served as both secretary and president of the Tennessee Registers Association and in 2002 she was named Register of the Year by the East Tennessee Registers Association.

Hurst was the first Register in Tennessee to implement Erecording and the records of her office have been accessible online since 1998.
