A Chattanooga teen was shot early Monday morning as he stood in a parking lot on Wilcox Boulevard.
At 3:02 a.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a shooting at 3224 Wilcox. The victim, Dekendrick Lamar Trammell, 19, was transported to a local hospital via a personally-owned vehicle where he was treated for the non-life-threatening injury.
It was reported to detectives that the victim was standing in the parking lot when the suspect shot him and fled the scene.
Neighbors said 50-60 cars were assembled on Wilcox by Greenwood Road in the old Food Lion parking lot.
They said there was loud music and a commotion before the shooting broke out.
Neighbors said shots were fired in a cluster of nine first and then five more shots were fired while everyone was fleeing the scene.
