Retired From Electric Power Board After 32 Years

Kelsey Clinton Hall, 93, of Signal Mountain, Tennessee, died on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012.   

Born in Lewis Chapel, Feb. 25, 1919, Mr. Hall moved to Signal Mountain in 1926. Clinton was a valued part of the history of the growth and development of Signal Mountain. He loved gardening, painting, and sharing stories of his life and tales of the past. An Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Hall retired from the Electric Power Board after 32 years of service. He was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church on Signal Mountain for 55 years, IBEW and was a 55 year member and past Worshipful Master of the Signal Mountain Masonic Lodge 758 F & AM.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Polly Hall; sisters, Alma Phipps and Millie Sloan; brothers, Fletcher and Junior Hall.

Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Geraldine Taylor Hall; daughter, Linda  Black of Red Bank; sons: Garry Hall (Gloria), Leonard Hall (Ann ), Clifford Hall (Sabrina Buckels), Don Hall, all of Signal Mountain; brother, Burrel Hall and sister, Roberta Jones, both of Signal Mountain.  He also had 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren

The family will receive friends at Mount Carmel Baptist Church from 3-8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 29, at Mount Carmel Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Granger officiating. Burial will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga.
