Rachel Mannon, 77, of Dunlap, died on Saturday, October 26, 2013.
A giver to the homeless, Rachel was always collecting clothing to take to homeless shelters. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, and sister.
She was preceded in death by daughter, Tammy LaFountain, and sister, Johnnie Maude White.
Survivors include her husband, Roy Mannon, of Dunlap; five daughters, Brenda Gaitan, Deborah (Richard) Cutshaw, Marjorie (Riley) Castleberry, Roxanne White, Diana (Dean) Mullins, step-daughter, Tammy (Billy) Johnston; sisters, Estelle Keller, Lucy Keller, Bettie May and Thelma Mannaken; brothers, Rueben, Charles and John May; 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
A memorial gathering will be held Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 5-7 p.m. at New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 176 East Valley Road, Whitwell, Tn. 37397.
