Roosevelt Pettit
Roosevelt Pettit, Jr., 63, died on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at a local hospital.
He was born on February 13, 1950 in Alvin, Tx., to the union of Roosevelt, Sr. and Robbie Gregg Pettit.
Preceding him in death were his parents; maternal grandparents; nephew, Marcus Pettit and sister, Mary Pettit Hughes.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Thomas Pettit; daughters, Lillian (James) Bugsby; Yolanda Debose and stepdaughter, Tiara (Timothy) Turner; sons, Bradley Pettie, Lancer Debose, and stepsons, Dwight and Devin Weaver; brother, Otis (Berniece) Pettit; 14 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 25, at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel. Interment will be in National Cemetery.
The body will lie in state after noon on Wednesday, April 24, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
