Home Damaged By Fire In Sale Creek On Wednesday

A home was damaged by fire on Wednesday, in Sale Creek.

A 911 call was made at 2:30 p.m., reporting a possible fire at 1503 Lee Pike (Red Fez Club). 

The Sale Creek Volunteer Fire Department and Soddy Daisy Fire Department responded and reported heavy smoke showing out the front window. Firefighters conducted an interior attack and reported one room was on fire. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire quickly and contain it to the one room. 

The homeowner, Wiley B. Heard, from Chickamauga, was not home when the fire broke out. The residence is his summer home. 

Damages are unknown at this time. The cause of the fire has not been determined and will be under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office. No injuries were reported.
