Kayakers pinned against a tree at East Ridge's Camp Jordan Park were rescued on Friday.

East Ridge Fire Department and Police Department responded to reports of the kayakers trapped in swift water in a section of Chickamauga Creek that runs through the park. Police made contact with the kayakers and verified that they were uninjured.

East Ridge firefighters conducted a swift water rescue operation and transported the kayakers to shore. East Ridge Police facilitated the relocation of the kayaks to shore.

Police said, "The kayakers had encountered swift water that pinned them in place against a tree. They required assistance to overcome the current and return to shore."

There were no injuries during the incident.
