Police arrested Ramonta Lamar Huff after a caller told police she was watching a robbery take place.

Huff, 20, of Wachula St., is charged with aggravated robbery.

In the incident last Thursday, the caller (who would not give her name) said there was a black male with a gun pointed at another black male on Teakwood Drive.

The person with the gun was described as a black male with dread locks and dar clothing.

Officers responding spotted a black male matching the description coming out from between two houses. He retreated, but was later detained nearby.

Boyd Torrence, 52, admitted to police that he was there to buy prescription bills from Huff.

He said Huff pulled a gun on him and demanded his money. He said Huff reached into his pocket and took out some $400, including six $2 bills.

Torrence left in his car because he was afraid he was going to be shot, but he came back when he saw police on the scene. He made a positive identification of Huff as the robber.

Police found $386 on Huff, including six $2 bills.

They did not find a weapon despite an extensive search. They said the area nearby has dense vegetation.
