Johnny L. “Jase” Gray, 81, of Chatsworth, GA, died Saturday morning, September 7, 2013 at the Murray Medical Center.  

Johnny was born December 20, 1931 in Chatsworth and was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Norman Gray; mother and step-father, Harriett and Rob Roe; sisters, Ora Lee Bingham and Mary Ellen Stone; and brothers, Dock Gary, Norman Gray and Jerry Roe.  

Johnny was a mechanic by trade and loved the outdoors.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Tammie and Jeff Bruce of Ducktown, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Donny and Kay Gray of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Derek and Stephanie Gray, Montana Gray, Sarah and Michael Brindle, Emily Bruce and Hunter Bruce; great-grandchildren, Carter Gray, Alyssa, Andrew, Isabella and Paislee Brindle and Lakota Bruce; brother, Tommy Roe of Shreveport, LA; sisters, Glenice Pellom of San Diego, CA and Patsy Butler of Eton, GA; special friend and care giver, Raymond Hyde of Chatsworth, GA; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Inurnment will with military honors will be held at a later date at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.

Arrangements are by Ponders Melrose Chapel.
