Dwayne Paul Woods, 67, of Tunnel Hill, GA, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014 at his home.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Woods.
Mr. Woods retired after 37 years as a pharmacist in the area. He served his country in the United States Army where he received a Purple Heart, National Defense Metal and a Vietnam Service Metal.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Bush Woods of the residence; daughter, Sara Woods Durst of Ringgold; son and daughter-in-law, Paul Christopher & Lisa Woods of Tunnel Hill; father and step-mother, Richard & Louise Woods of Lawrenceville, GA; and grandchildren, Taylor Woods, Elizabeth Durst, Nicholas Woods, Kenley Woods and Eric Durst.
A graveside service to honor the life of Dwayne Paul Woods will be held Thursday, October 23, at 1 p.m. at the Fredonia Congregational Church Cemetery in Barnesville, GA with Rev. Chip Garrison and Rev. Stan Ayer officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Northwest Georgia Humane Society or to the charity of your choice.
