James Neal Guffey
James Neal Guffey, 55, of Chattanooga, died on Monday, December 29, 2014.
Mr. Guffey was born and raised in Chattanooga. He was a graduate of Tyner High School Class of 1978 and a member of The Gathering Church. He was the owner of J. Neal Guffey Insurance and a member of the Tennessee Insurance Association.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Harold Guffey.
Surviving are his fiancée, Karen Snyder of East Ridge, who he was engaged to be married in mid-January of 2015; mother, Johnnie R. Guffey of Chattanooga; sister, Bonnie Guffey (Jim) Miller of Chattanooga; niece, Sarah Hipp (Adam); nephews, Will Miller (Candace) and Andrew Miller; great-niece, Halah Hipp.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 2, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 3, at the funeral home with Dr. Darrell Henry and Reverend Fred Smith officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Rayburn, Ricky Dover, Mickey Dorsey, Butch Hinshaw, Tim Sandidge, and Tim Headrick.
Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens East.
