A micro earthquake was reported near Dayton on Sunday, around 8:15 a.m.
It registered a 2.8 magnitude. It had a depth of 8.6 miles.
The earthquake hit about five miles from Dayton, 21 miles from Soddy Daisy, and 36 miles from Chattanooga, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
